Floyd N McGhee

Floyd N. McGhee, 93, area cattle rancher and land developer, passed away in Kootenai, Idaho on Friday, July 7, 2017. Private family services, with military honors, will be conducted in Pinecrest Memorial Park on Saturday, July 15th, at 11:00am. The McGhee and Berry families moved to the Sandpoint area in August 1917. Floyd was born on December 19, 1923 in Sandpoint, Idaho the son of Thurston and Genie McGhee. He attended local schools prior to joining the US Navy and serving during WW II. He is survived by his daughter Bobbie; his son Tom (Fran); granddaughter Darlene; grandsons Kelly and Kory; two step sons George Haley and Randy Powers; his cousin Jim Berry. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents TT and Genie McGhee, and two brothers Orville and Thornton.
