Terry Michael DeMers

Terry Michael De Mers, 73, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017, with his family by his side. Memorial services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, August 12th, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Pastor Paul Graves will be officiating. A reception will follow in the Oden Hall, Highway 200 and Sunnyside Road. Terry Michael De Mers was born November 18, 1943 in Sandpoint, Idaho, son of Cyril and Gladys De Mers. He lived and attended schools in Sandpoint, graduating in 1962. He enjoyed playing sports and excelled in football, even receiving a scholarship to Pacific University. He spent a year at Lewis and Clark Normal before returning to Sandpoint where he started his own logging company. He enjoyed bowling, playing Pinochle, camping, hunting, fishing and shooting trap with his grandchildren. And in much later years he even enjoyed huckleberry picking. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Paula, his sons Michael (wife Melody), Brian, 2 sisters Marcia (Frank) Miller and Joan Wilson, 5 grandchildren Tyler, Paige, Levi (Keira), Tessa, Garrett (Brittany) and 3 great grandchildren Ellie, Kinsley and Tallon. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
