Clifford Lawrence Eberley

March 20, 1926 — September 28, 2009

Clifford Lawrence Eberley, 83 of Sandpoint, died Monday Sept. 28, 2009 at his home after a courageous battle against melanoma and multiple myloma. He was born March 20, 1926 in Fairview, Oklahoma the son of Joseph and Vinnie Eberley. He was raised in Oklahoma and Kansas and on May 31, 1956 he married Betty Golob in Pittsburg, KS. They lived in Oregon from 1960-1972 at which time they moved to Idaho. They moved to Missouri in 1978 returning to Sandpoint in 1983 where he has since resided. He enjoyed all the outdoor activities that Idaho provided, especially hunting and fishing. However, the greatest joy in his life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He has been a pastor since 1950 the past 25 years at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years of Sandpoint: sons: Ted Eberley of Sanger, TX, Clint (Jill) Eberley, Joe (Chris) Eberley both of Sandpoint; grandchildren: Chance, Sarrah, Breece, Brett, Kerri, Shelby, Clayton, Colton, Gabriel, Zachary; and great grandchildren: Aaron, Megan, Ryan, Blake, Jori, Treyton; and 1 sister Greta. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter: Nancy, 1 brother Phillip, and 2 sisters: Hazel and Emma. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00PM, Friday, October 2, 2009 at Pinecrest Cemetery, with Delvin Tucker officiating.
