Patricia Louise Wesselman

Paddy Chubb Wesselman passed away August 10, 2017 with her family by her side. Paddy was born Sept. 22, 1935 to Art and Vi Chubb. She attended local schools, graduating from Sandpoint High School with the class of 1953. She married Ed Wesselman in 1954 and they had 5 children. Paddy was moistly a stay at home Mom. After the kids started attending school, she worked at M and J’s as a meat wrapper. Paddy and Ed’s greatest accomplishment was raising their “Down Syndrome” son Dougie. They, and their other kids, gave Dougie a loving and happy 44 years of life. Paddy had many lifelong friends. She always enjoyed a night on the town, a bingo game, a trip to a casino and a good old card game around the kitchen table with family and friends. Paddy and Ed would take yearly jaunts to Reno with dear friends Sonny and Virginia Oliver. She always had a memorable time on road trips with, her life time friend, Shirley and Paddy’s sister Becky, till her health started deteriorating, and she became home bound. The family would like to Thank everyone who always asked “How Paddy was doing?” thru the years. Paddy was preceded in death by her parents Art and Vi Chubb, husband Ed, son Dougie, sister Becky Armour and brother Smokey Chubb. Paddy is survived by two sons Ed Jr. and Jim; two daughter Tammy Kramer and Cyndi Sutliff; all of Sandpoint; her grandchildren Toffer, Derek, Kayla, Mason, Keila and TJ : great grandchildren Jagger, Emma, Titus, Tessa, Bailee, Avery, Skylar, Shaelynn, Ryiely, Pyeton, Jordan and Bentley and a brother-in-law Bill Wesselman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Paddy will be dearly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm, at the Eagles Lodge in Sandpoint.
