Barron “Barry” Curtis McDonald, 57, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2017 in his home in Sagle, ID. Born October 13, 1959 in Eureka California to Roger McDonald and Nancy (Barden) Boswell. Barron was raised in the Spokane Washington area and loved to frequent Northern Idaho with family and friends where he eventually settled down.
Barron was a peaceful and passionate man who could always make people smile and laugh with his unique humor. His quirky smile, lip and eyebrow action was Barron’s signature characteristics and will be sorely missed. The woods and outdoors is were Barron found his true peace. He loved to enjoy nature, collecting anything that would nourish his creative spirit. He was a very creative and artistic man building interesting works of art with wood, rock or metal and virtually any form of material that could be crafted with his skilled hands. Barry worked most of his life in the construction industry as a master carpenter. His unique ability to fix or construct anything and everything will be one of his many beautiful memories that will forever be remembered.
Barron was extremely loving and proud of his son Adam McDonald with girlfriend Jillian, grandchildren Gage and Adalynn, his step son Don Cuculich with wife Tamra and step daughter Brandie Pettis with husband Travis. He is also survived by his Father Roger McDonald, step mother Patty McDonald, brothers Douglas, Daniel with wife April, James with wife Michelle, Jesse, Jake with wife Kelly and Luke with wife Diane McDonald along with numerous Nieces and Nephews and other friends. Barron was preceded in death by his mother Nancy.
Barron was very strong and demonstrated great humility during his final moments. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. Also a special thanks to Terry for the loving attentive care she gave Barron.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Barron’s life at 12pm on September 30, 2017 at the Coffelt Funeral Service, 109 N. Division Ave. Sandpoint, Idaho 83864.
