Louise Christina Terry, 94, of Sagle, Idaho passed away on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Life Care of Sandpoint. Memorial services will be conducted 10am, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Sandpoint Church of Christ, 1331 Cedar Street, with a potluck following the service. Inurnment will take place at a later time in the Westmond Cemetery. Louise was born August 26, 1923 in Helena, MT the daughter of Sam and Irene Deal Goodwin. She attended schools in Helena and graduated Helena High School in 1941. She married Raymond Tolbert on May 8, 1943 in Long Beach, CA. During the war years she worked as a Rosie the Riveter for Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach. While living in Long Beach, where she resided for many years, she invested in houses and apartment buildings. In 1979 she and her husband moved to Sagle where she has since resided. In the mid 1990’s she married Jim Terry and he also preceded her in death. Louise enjoyed working with pottery, and had collected various knickknacks over the years. While in California she was a gracious volunteer with organizations that helped children with Autism. Over the years she has attended the Baptist Church, and since residing in Sandpoint as attended the Church of Christ. She is survived by: 3 sons; Bryan Tolbert of Sagle, Sam Tolbert of Bremerton, WA, John Tolbert of Long Beach, CA; 4 Grandchildren: Mike, Michele, Mathew, and Gary Tolbert; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, 1 brother, and a granddaughter Melody Tolbert. The family suggests memorials be given to Panhandle Autism Society, 411 N. 15th St., Coeur d' Alene, ID 83814.
