David Lloyd Landingham, 71, of Careywood, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Kootenai Medical Center.
He was born March 4, 1938 in Yakima, WA the son of Loran and Viola Landingham. He moved with his family to the Seattle area and later to Kent, WA. Following his graduation from high school he enlisted in the US Army and served his country in Korea. Upon his discharge he moved to Alaska where he worked for the highway department until his retirement. In 1987 he moved to Careywood, ID where he has since resided.
He enjoyed making toy boats, and airplanes, fishing, hunting, and loved his dogs.
He is survived by 5 children: Donnie (Cassandra) Landingham of Puyallup, WA, Kaylee (Vern) Fowler of VA, Samantha (Danny) Maple of Spirit Lake, ID, Harvey (Audrey) Landingham of Careywood, ID, A. J. (Angie) Landingham of Hayden, ID; 11 grandchildren: 1 brother: Walter Landingham of Fairbanks, AK; 1 sister: Delores McCulloch of ID. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Raymond, Elmer, Sonny, and by 1 sister Doris.
Private family services will be held at a later time.
