Roger Lee Rickett

Roger Lee Rickett, 41, of Sandpoint, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born Aug. 7, 1968 in Spokane, WA, the son of Thomas and Vickie Miles Rickett. He grew up and attended schools in Newport, WA. He joined the Idaho National Guard and served for 3 years. He married Patty LaFever in Sandpoint on Dec. 23, 1989 and they have made their home here since that time. Roger worked in the construction industry as a cabinet maker until an injury in 2005 forced him to retire. He loved anything having to do with the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and swimming. He is survived by his wife Patty Rickett of Sandpoint; 2 sons: Levi and Justin Rickett both of Sandpoint; his mother: Vickie (LeRoy Linton) Miles of Newport, WA; his sister-in-law: Annette Braun of Sandpoint; his aunt and uncle: Marion and Mark Johnson of Sandpoint; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Memorial services for Roger will be conducted 11:00AM, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at Coffelt Funeral Chapel.
