James Jim (Woody) Woodhead

James “Jim”, “Woody” Woodhead, 69, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Sunday, January 17, 2010. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 22nd, at 1:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time. The service will be conducted by Father Bob Lily, in the Heron Cemetery, Heron, Montana. Woody was born in Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 30, 1940, the son of James, Sr., and Genevieve Woodhead. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1958 and then attended Ohio State University. He later moved to Phoenix, Arizona and joined the Phoenix Police Department. On Nov. 23, 1983 he married Linda Audette in Phoenix, AZ. In 1989, after 23 years on the Phoenix Police Force, he retired and moved to Flagstaff, AZ. He moved to Heron, Montana in 1998. Woody was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Linda Woodhead in Heron, MT; his son Dan Woodhead in Phoenix, AZ; his daughter Cindy Lang in Phoenix, AZ; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren... He was preceded in death by his parents.
