Wesley A. “Pat” Rojan, 94, of Hope, Idaho entered into rest on Thursday, February 25, 2010, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 3rd, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Dale Coffelt will officiate with interment in the Hope Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 2nd, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The visitation will be at Coffelt Funeral Service, Pine and Division in Sandpoint.
Pat was born on March 17, 1915 in Hope, Idaho, the son of August and Anna Rojan. He lived almost his entire life in the Hope area.
Pat went into the US Navy “Seabees” on July 16, 1942. He was stationed on a small island in the Pacific, the Nanumea Islands, Southwest of the Hawaiian Islands. He was attached to the 16th Naval Construction Battalion; it was in the Seabees where he perfected his carpentry skills. This began his lifelong profession and he spent the rest of his working days building homes in Hope, Idaho. He built as many as 25 custom homes in the area, including his own home. He also built a boat marina in what was known, to the locals, as “Pat’s Bay.”
He married Margaret Blair on July 22, 1970, in Sandpoint and they were married for 32 years.
Pat is survived by his sister Meryl (Janie) VanStone of Hope, Idaho and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret, 3 brothers Chester, Carl, and Hardy, and his 3 sisters Gladys, Marie, and Blanche.
The family would like to thank the Life Care Center for the wonderful care they gave him. He remarked to family members that they were all “Angels” to him. We will miss you “Uncle Pat.”
