Annetta Curtis, 102, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at The Bridge Assisted Living in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Private inurnment will take place in Tulsa, OK, with local arrangements under the direction of Coffelt Funeral Service.
She was born Sept. 7, 1907 in Coldwater County, Michigan. She graduated high school in 1925 from White Pigeon, Michigan. In 1930 she graduated from nursing at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She took a post graduate course in obstetrics at New York Lying In Hospital in New York City, NY.
In her 102 years Annetta experienced many things from horse and buggy days to the man on the moon to the space shuttle. Her life began before automobiles and concrete highways, television and penicillin. She was always amazed at how much things had changed over the course of her life.
She married Delmer Curtis on June 2, 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Annetta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Mark Lowrey of Sandpoint; a grandson Kent Cornelson of Sandpoint, a granddaughter, Dr. Kelley Cornelson of Sandpoint and two great granddaughters: Kristin Safian and Holly Amson; and a great great granddaughter Madelin Mia Amson all of Fresno, CA.
