Lillian E. Linscott, 92, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Thursday,
July 15, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 20th, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Pastor Jon Pomeroy, Sandpoint Church of God, will officiate with interment following in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be on Monday, July 19th, from 12 noon until 6:00 pm at Coffelt Funeral Service.
Lillian was born on August 24, 1917 in Broadus, Montana the daughter of John and Olive Reynolds. She started school in a 1 room schoolhouse in Hay Creek, MT and later attended high school in Sundance, WY. The family moved to the Kootenai area in 1938 and she married Muriel Linscott on May 19, 1939. Muriel preceded her in death in 1969. She cooked at the Kootenai School for many years and on Jan. 24, 1970 she married Norman Linscott, Muriel’s brother.
She was a member of the Kootenai Better Community Club and a sewing leader in 4-H. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She loved to sew quilts for her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. On August 24, 2007 Lillian celebrated her 90th birthday with her family and her friends.
Lillian is survived by her 4 children Yvonne (and Marvin) Farley, in Hansville, WA; Belva Pierce, in Sandpoint, ID; Betty (and Del) Stansell of Hayden, ID; Robert (and Elaine) Linscott of Sagle, ID; a step son Frank (and Carol) Linscott in Sagle, ID; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers Laurence (and Joy) Reynolds in Priest River, ID; Lloyd (and Sonjia) Reynolds in Priest River, ID; and a sister Shirley (and Ed) Hammacher in Hope, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Muriel and Norman, step daughter Laurelie Linscott, and 6 siblings.
