Lorraine Arndt Chambers

Lorraine Arndt Chambers, 87, passed away in Sandpoint, ID on Friday, July 23, 2010 Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 31st, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Lorraine was born on May 16, 1923 in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Arthur and Winifred Arndt. She grew up around Fargo, ND and attended local schools there. She had lived in Kansas, Caldwell, Idaho; and the San Fernando Valley, California. On June 26, 1955 she married James Chambers in Las Vegas, Nevada and they lived in Elko, Nevada from 1968 until 1988. The family moved to Sandpoint in 1988 and James preceded her in death in 1994. Lorraine was a longtime volunteer at the Sandpoint Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and her flower and vegetable gardens. She is survived by 2 daughters Judy (and Bert) Morgan in Hayden, ID; Mary McGinnis of Sandpoint, ID; 3 sons James P. (and Jerry) Chambers of Hayden, ID; Michael D. (and Shirley) Chambers of Reno, NV; Jeffrey Chambers of Sandpoint, ID; Grandchildren Morgan Chambers in Bountiful, UT; Lori Morgan in Henderson, NV; Bill Morgan of Bakersfield, CA; Anthony Gililland of Oroville, CA: Amanda Gililland of Sparks, NV; and a great grand daughter Kahlia Chambers of Bountiful, Utah. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert and a sister Dorothy. Memorials may be made to the Sandpoint Senior Center, 820 Main Street, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864
