Ted Blanchard, 50, passed away at his home, in Careywood, on Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 11th in the Sandpoint First Christian Church. Pastor Tony Nelson will be officiating.
Private family interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Ted was born in East Orange, New Jersey on Dec. 7, 1959 the son of Robert and Nancy Blanchard. In 1968 he graduated from the Los Gatos Christian School, Los Gatos, California. He graduated from Chico State University, Chico, California, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in electronics engineering and a minor in martial arts.
He worked for Lockheed Martin IS and S, Western Region, in San Jose, California as a manager for advanced systems. On June 21, 1986 he married Enas Hanna in San Jose, California. In 2006 he semi-retired and moved to Careywood, Idaho.
Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, water skiing, and ATVing, with his family and his friends. North Idaho was his home. He attended the First Christian Church, and was a volunteer with the Sagle Fire Department.
He is survived by – his wife Enas Blanchard, his son Christopher with the US Navy, his daughter Nichele a senior at Sandpoint High School, all at the Careywood home; his father Robert Blanchard in San Jose, CA; 3 brothers Bob in Eugene, Oregon; Dave in Portland, Oregon; Peter in Madison, Wisconsin; his sister Susan Blanchard in Aptos, California; numerous nieces, nephews and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Nissen.
