Beulah Mae Erwin, 90. passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Private family services will be held later.
Beulah was born on June 9, 1920, daughter of Riley and Josephine Bowman in Reeds Spring, Missouri.
She moved to Jerome, Idaho at the age of 2 and attended elementary and High School there.
She married the love of her life, Earl, on January 3, 1938. They moved to Escondido, Ca. in 1942 where they raised their family. She moved to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1999 to be close to her daughter, Darla Free and her family.
Beulah was a strong, loving and vibrant woman who was kind and loving to all including the neighborhood squirrels. She was an avid speller, holding the Idaho state spelling bee title as a child. She also loved crossword puzzle solving. She was a magnificent porcelain painter and seamstress. She loved God, her family and the United States of America.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Post 2453; the San Diego China Painting Guild and the Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her daughter Johanna (Jim) Snyder of Bozeman, Mt., son Terry Erwin of Escondido, Ca. and her daughter Darla (Jeff) Free of Sandpoint, her grandchildren, Marda Makay, Christy Conrad, Leah Free, Logan (David) Marcoullier, Caitlyn (Nic) Uhnak, her great-grandchildren, Ty and Shea Conrad, Cole Mackay, Adam Snyder and Ashleigh Snyder and l great great Granddaughter, her special friends Ida Christopherson, Charlotte Lebow, and Trudy Mendenhall
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, her daughter Cynthia Erwin, Parents, her brother Clyde Bowman and her grandson Scott Snyder
