Alvin C. Jacobson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Private family services were held at Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tony Nelson from the First Christian Church officiating. Burial was at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Alvin was born January 28, 1911 in Ralph, South Dakota, the son of Alfred and Katherine Jacobson.
The family moved from South Dakota to Sandpoint in 1920 and settled in the Oden Area and Alvin attended the Oden School. In 1935 Alvin married Vivian Turner and has been married for 71 years.
Alvin enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming and logging his property with his horses. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends for many years. Alvin had helped build the Oden Hall and had belonged to the Oden grange.
He is survived by his wife Vivian and daughters, Cathryn (Al) Byars and Carolyn (Lyle) Mecham, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Alvin was preceded in death by his son, Carl and brothers Stanley, Conrad, Elmer, Edwin and his parents Alfred and Katherine Jacobson.
