Robert L. “Bob” Jackson, 69, passed away in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Thursday, March 1, 2007.
A private family graveside service will be held at Pack River Cemetery later in the Spring.
Bob was born in Iowa on March 4, 1937 to M.D. and Edith Jackson. He lived a full life and worked hard at the local Mills, retiring from Welco in Naples. He enjoyed life and loved to play horseshoes, winning many trophies and several championships. He also loved to play pool. One of his favorite hangouts was the Northwoods Tavern in Naples.
Bob also enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He could really tell camping, fishing and hunting stories. He continued to do all of these things until his M.S. took over his body and life. He was a real fighter and dealt with his M.S. to the best of his ability.
Bob was a member of the Bonners Ferry Eagles Aerie #3522. He left many, many friends.
He is survived by his very best buddy – his dog Dukie; his son Gary (and wife) Jackson, of Hayden Lake; his sister and brother-in-law Judy and Don Barton of Bonners Ferry, ID; his niece Marcy (and Dwayne) McNair of Naples, ID; his nephew Marvin (and Sherry) Parson of Rockaway, OR.
He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews: Markell McNair, Kootenai, ID; Mitch Walson, Kootenai, ID; Chad Parson, and Cody Parson ofCoeur d’Alene, ID; Branden Bergman, Naples, ID; also a four month old great-great nephew Lincoln Walson, Kootenai, ID.
He was preceded in death by his Dad M.D. Jackson and Mother Edith, his grandparents and his daughter Becky Jackson.
