Anelda Bartlett, daughter of Milus Porter Bartlett and Sarah Allie Tittsworth, was born April 5, 1924 in Burley, Idaho. She was the 9th child of 10. She died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 in Sandpoint, Idaho at the home of her Daughter, Diane, of natural causes.
Anelda was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho and left to marry her husband Albert Emery Connerley when he and his family moved from Idaho to the Bay area of California. They were married October 4, 1942 in Reno, Nevada. Together they welcomed two children, David and Diane, to their home. After years of enjoying the role of stay-at-home mom, she chose to go to work and enjoyed working for the Probation Department in Fairfield, California and later Ace Hardware’s main office as a purchaser. After her husband’s death, she moved to Roseville, California where she lived for many years. She married Hersch Bayes on March 10, 1994 in Hawaii. After the passing of Hersch, she moved to Sandpoint, Idaho to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Loyd Loutzenhiser.
Anelda loved life. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved to serve them and make things special for them. She was a master gardener and loved flowers. She loved cooking and had a special love for dishes. Her joy was to have special dishes for each variety of food served. She had a talent of making everything she touched beautiful and warmly comfortable. She is known for her candy table which was always full of goodies for all who came to her home to enjoy. Of course, it was the great grandchildren’s favorite part of the house other than the love from their grandma.
Anelda was the last of her family with her parents, brothers, and sisters passing before her. She is also preceded in death by her two husbands, Albert Connerley and Hersch Bayes; her son, David Connerley; and a great-grandson, Alexx Loutzenhiser. She is survived by her daughter, Diane, and son-in-law, Loyd Loutzenhiser; grandchildren, Bodie (Jeanie) Loutzenhiser, Chad (Lauren) Loutzenhiser of Sandpoint, Idaho; Daniel (Cyndi) Loutzenhiser of Post Falls, Idaho; Bob (Karen) Loutzenhiser of Hauser, Idaho; and Erin (Stan) Loughmiller of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; twenty-four great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Darlyn (wife of David) Connerley Carmichael of California; niece, Mable Washburn of Placerville, California; and step-daughter, Michele Morrissey of Roseville, California.
