Bradley Wayne Keegan, 52, passed away August 18, 2018, after complications from a ruptured gall bladder.
Brad was born July 30, 1966 in Sandpoint, Idaho to Darrell Archie Keegan and Dianne Jewel Benoit Keegan. Brad spent some of his younger years in Renton, Washington, but lived most of his life in the Sandpoint area. He graduated from Sandpoint high school where he met Elle Susnis. They later married and lived in Sandpoint.
A highlight of Brad’s life was the 2004 birth of his and Elle’s son, John Tanner. Nothing could lift him up so much as talking about how proud he was of John. Brad enjoyed spending time with John. They went to movies and spent hours exploring Bonner County. He told John, “A man should know all the places in the county he lives in.” Brad was a voracious reader, and often finished a novel a day. His quick wit, sense of humor, and caring nature will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
For many years Brad worked at Schweitzer Mountain ski resort. He also worked at various restaurants and other jobs around town.
In his later years, Brad took comfort in his faith. A charity that was close to his heart is Helping Hands Healing Hearts, a joint ministry of Sandpoint area churches. Donations can be made in person at 221 S. Division Ave, Sandpoint, or at www.qhsandpoint.org/donate.
He is survived by his son, John Tanner; his sisters, Julie (Terry) Meisinger, and Amy (Shane) Dunaway; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Dianne Keegan.
A memorial for Brad will be held at a later date.
