Dennis Lewis Jack, 74, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, with his family by his side. The Vigil/Rosary service will be held at 7:00pm, Friday, November 3rd in St Joseph’s Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am, Saturday, November 4th, in St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Father Dennis C Day will be officiating at the services. Dennis was born in Seattle, Washington on April 8, 1943 the son of George and Mabel Jack. He attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Elementary School and then graduated from Ballard High School, class of 1961. He worked for Sears and Roebuck in the Catalog Warehouse as a stockman. On March 23, 1962 he and Karen Buhl were married in Seattle, Washington. Dennis started working for UPS Seattle in 1966 as a delivery driver. Retiring as a Regional Hub and Feeder Manager in Raleigh, NC. 1996. Following retirement he moved to Gig Harbor, Washington. From there they moved to Green Valley, Arizona living there for 10 years. Then establishing his “retirement ranch”, in Cocolalla, Idaho in 20l0. He was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church. He enjoyed old cars and was a member of the Injector’s Car Club, participating in Lost in the 50”s. He was an avid golfer, playing the courses wherever he lived. He is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Karen Jack in Sagle; 2 sons Dennis L Jack, Jr (and Jeanee) in Graham, WA; Randy A Jack, in Sagle; 5 grandchildren Kyle A Jack in Sagle; Alisa (and Jeff) Santi in Puyallup, WA; Justin (and Erin) Spence in Lantana, TX; Alanda (and Alex) Fellows in Irvington, NY; Kendyl Anderson in Edmonds, WA; and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Denise Jack Cox (and Jim) in Bothell, WA; a nephew Ryan (and Lindsay) Cox in Snohomish, WA; 2 great nephews and numerous cousins; his aunt Marilyn (Bossio/Moline) Palmer, a 98 year old Uncle Clarence (Cork) Vance, and his 98 year old mother in-law Ardean Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughters Chelsea Jack, and Loryn Anderson; and his nephew Jeff Cox. Burial will be in Shoreline, Washington at Holy Rood Cemetery in the spring of 2018. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice, in memory of Dennis L. Jack.
