Donna Marie Coulter

Donna Marie Coulter was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on October 4th, 2022 at age 75. She was born to Bill and Lawana Olson on May 22, 1947 in Sandpoint, Idaho. After graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1965, Donna went on to work for Montgomery Wards, The Crystal Butterfly, and The Company Store.

Donna loved to spend time with her family and she enjoyed her snowbird lifestyle. In the summer you might find her fishing, either for trophy salmon at the Rogue River in Oregon or the small Kokanee at Lake Mary Ronan in Montana. She always looked forward to “going to lunch with the girls”. In the winter, they would make the trek to Tacna, Arizona, where the day may include hiking to the turquoise mine, throwing some serious horseshoes, and a cutthroat game of cards.

Donna is survived by her brother, Ed Olson of Gold Hill, OR; daughters, Kristine Whitney-Wiley of Atlanta, GA and Carlyn Blacker of Grand Junction, CO; sons, Chad Whitney of San Ramon, CA and Kevin Coulter of Post Falls, ID; grandkids Norah and Caleb Whitney of San Ramon, CA, Jordan Nordgaarden of Copperas Cove, TX, and Jarae Schreiber of Spokane, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vern Coulter, and sister Sandy Olson.
