Doris Mae Hale, 89
Doris passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home in Clark Fork, on June 28, 2019.
Her and her late husband Charles B Hale came from OH and made Bell Gardens, CA their home while they raised 4 boys. Doris worked at Rockwell International/Boeing where she had a part in the creation of the Apollo spacecraft and the space shuttle.
Chuck and Doris purchased property in Clark Fork in the late 70’s after falling in love with the area while on vacation. Doris moved to Clark Fork permanently after her husband passed away in the mid 80’s. She has lived here ever since. She was well loved by many in the community. She was known for her kindness and great sense of humor.
Doris loved camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, birdwatching, crossword puzzles, John Wayne, old westerns and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her potato salad, cherry cheesecake, homemade jelly and her Christmas time peanut butter balls.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Chuck and her son Rick. She is survived by her sons Chuck of Oregon, Bill of Fox Island, WA and Bob of Clark Fork. Doris also has several grandchildren, Keith. Tricia, Brian, Brittany, Crystal, Chuck and Daniel as well as two step grandsons Robert and Jake. She also has eight great grandchildren.
