Elsie Louise Turner

Elsie Eloise Turner, 101, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018.   Memorial services, for the centenarian, will be announced in April or May.   Elsie was born on November 3, 1916 in San Francisco, California the daughter of William and Mary Burger.  She grew up in Oakland, California, where she graduated from high school in 1936, and attended Davis Business College for two years.  On July 27, 1939 she married William Turner in Newport, Rhode Island.   Over the years, Elsie lived in Norfolk, VA; Oakland, CA; Salem and Astoria Oregon; moving to the Sandpoint area in 1970.  She enjoyed music, painting and art work.  She was a member of the Sandpoint First Church of God and was active in missionary work.   Elsie is survived by her children Marsha Turner and Marvin Turner, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings and one daughter.
