Frances Marie Schierlman age 90 was born December 27, 1926 in Gallatin, Missouri and passed away December 3, 2017 in Sandpoint, Idaho. She married Hubert “Doc” Schierlman on March 5, 1945 in Cherryvale, Kansas and he preceded her in death. Her parents were Nova and Elna Bauer Medsker and four brothers Nova, Marvin, John and Floyd also preceded her in death. She is survived by her only son Gerald Schierlman and daughter in law Kaye Schierlman. Frances also has a surviving sister Fern McHugh of Cherryvale. Frances was blessed to have five grandchildren Kimberly Gust of Katy, Texas, Teresa Lyons of Princeton, Texas, Justin Schierlman of Herriman, Utah, Jeffrey Schierlman of Lehi, Utah and Matthew Schierlman of Euless, Texas; 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She retired from Automotive Controls Corporation after 25 years of service. Prior to that she worked several years for H.D. Lee Company and Reliance Corporation. She is well remembered for manicuring her 2 ½ acre lawn, baking mouthwatering peach and apple pies and would sit for hours cracking pecans to make delicious fudge. She was a resident of Cherryvale most of her life until she relocated with Gerald and Kaye to Sandpoint, Idaho five years ago. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 8, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation for family and friends will be scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Wickham Funeral home in Cherryvale, Kansas.
