Gary Franklin Britton passed away on April 3, 2024 and now rests in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gary was a blessed saint and follower of Jesus. He was a member and active in the music ministry at Southside Community Church where he masterfully played guitar with the choir.
Gary, son of Franklin Britton and Vivian Johnson, was born on March 10, 1936 in Brainerd, Minnesota. Gary was one of eight children including brothers Clyde, Wayne, David, Bert, Vern, Lynn and sister Vina.
Gary served his country in the United States Army as Field Artillery Repairman. He was honorably discharged, and the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, after 3 years of service. He retired from a career as a firefighter, EMT in Burien, Washington.
Gary is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda of Coeur d Alene, Idaho. He is also survived by 3 children: Dale Britton, Guy Britton, and Carrie Burnside, all of western Washington, as well as six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
