Hayden Marshall Lee Simcox, passed away, at home in Sandpoint with his family by his side, on Friday, January 3, 2020.
Hayden was born September 12th 2019 in Spokane Washington to Mikayla Wright and Jordan Simcox.
Hayden was loved beyond measure. Despite having a devastating and terminal syndrome, Hayden had the most beautiful and perfect life, thanks to the most amazing family and friends. Hayden was constantly surrounded by the people that loved him the most. Not a minute went by that he did not have someone cuddling him, singing to him, reading him stories, or playing with him. Hayden loved to have his head rubbed by his Grandpa, he loved to do “nose, nose” with Grandma, lullabies and story time with Aunt Hannah, his precious “yummy’s” from Aunt Josey, massages from Aunt Justina, bath time and snuggles with his mommy, his sweet talks with Uncle Jordan and Tanner, kisses from his cousins Asher and Kaleb and his cousin Altan sharing his cars with him and ear rubs every morning. Hayden’s team of physicians stated over and over that he thrived well above their expectations due to the pure love and care he received. Our family is extremely proud of that, but above all we are honored, blessed and humbled that Hayden chose our family to come to.
Hayden is survived by his parents Mikayla Wright and Jordan Simcox, his best friend and Grandpa Al Ramsay & Grandmother Stacie Ramsay, Aunts and Uncles: Natalie and Candice Ramsay, Jordan and Kayla Wright, Mark Ramsay and Justina Lawson, Tanner Wright, Hannah Wright, Josey Reasor, Amanda Gee. Cousins - Lillian, Olivia, Danika, Bradey, Altan & Asher Wright and Kaleb Ramsay. Great Grandparents George & Eulalia Ramsay and Great Grandfather (Papaw) Bill Wright. His Grandmother (Ya-Ya) Katie Coey & grandfather Troy Coey. His aunt and Uncle Terry & Amanda Simcox and the Simcox family. Hayden was proceeded in death by his Great Grandmother (Mamaw) Margaret Wright whom we know has taken over the care of our sweet baby.
A private graveside service was held Wednesday January 8th. Hayden’s Papaw Bill Wright was honored to dedicate Haydens’ grave, that was so graciously given to Hayden by his Great Aunt and Uncle, Georgia and Vern Caven. Hayden is tucked in beautifully next to his cousin Michael Caven.
There will be a memorial service for all family and friends Saturday, January 18th at Coffelt Funeral Home in Sandpoint Idaho at 11am.
We cannot thank Hayden’s medical teams enough for the professionalism, love, care, snuggles, kisses and hugs they gave Hayden. The OB, NICU, Palliative Care and Neurology teams at Sacred Heart Medical Center are the most amazing and dedicated doctors and nurses, some of which have become life-long friends. Auburn Crest Hospice stepped in when no other Hospice in our area would and have been by our side from the start. The entire agency has been phenomenal, but we would like to personally thank Ruth-Maria - Haydens Nurse, Michelle - Haydens Social Worker and Cassandra who stepped right in at the most important time. Dr. Kuhta and the team at Kaniksu - Sandpoint Pediatrics, your guidance and love for Hayden has been our lifeline. We would not have been successful with Haydens delicate care if we had not had such a huge team behind us. We love you all, Hayden loved you all, he could feel your love.
