Joseph William Jones, affectionately known as "Kokomoe Joe" or "Craze Joe," passed away peacefully at his home in Sagle on February 18. He was born September 26, 1972, in Oakland, CA to William and Sharon Jones of Moyie Springs, Joe was a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, and friend to many. Throughout his life, Joe moved around with his family and lived in various states, including Tennessee, Arkansas, California, Alaska, Idaho, and Oregon. Despite the constant change, he attended school in most of those states and finished his high school education in San Diego, CA. Joe was multi-talented and excelled in various jobs, but he was best known for his expertise and craftsmanship in working with stones. He had a remarkable artistic and creative ability, which was evident in his graffiti art, sketches, and rapping. Joe had a natural ability to improvise rhymes and lyrics on the spot, which showcased his remarkable creativity and wit. Whether he was performing in front of a crowd or just entertaining friends and family, Joe's freestyle rapping always brought a smile to everyone's face. He had an uncanny ability to incorporate personal stories and experiences into his rhymes, making each performance a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Joe was a truly unique individual, and it was something that most everyone who met him recognized. He had a magnetic personality and a special way of connecting with people on a deep level, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His creativity, talent, and genuine caring nature set him apart, making him an unforgettable presence in the lives of those who knew him. Joe had a heart of gold and a genuine, caring spirit that made him friends wherever he went. His family, friends, and faith were at the core of who he was, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved. Joe was always there for those in need, offering a helping hand or a listening ear whenever someone required it. He had a way of lifting others up and providing encouragement, even in the toughest of times. He had a passion for discussing the scriptures with his friends, often exploring different perspectives on verses and passages. Joe had an immense amount of pride and love for his sons, Blaze and Ezra. Joe's love for his sons, was evident in the way his eyes would light up whenever he spoke about them. He was immensely proud of the young men they were becoming and was constantly inspired by their achievements. He adored spending time with them, working on projects together, such as fixing up the Jeep with Ezra. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Jones, and is survived by his father, William Jones of Moyie Springs; his sister, Sherri (Scott) Lies of Sagle, ID; his brother, Michael (Ruth) Jones of Moyie Springs; his son, Blaze Sink of Lakewood, CO; his son, Ezra Jones of Spokane, WA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless true friends who considered him a brother. Joe's presence will be deeply missed, but his impact and memory will live on through the love and kindness he shared with all those whose paths he crossed. A memorial service will begin at 2:00pm Saturday, March 4th in the Sandpoint Church of God with Pastor Dave Lawrence officiating. The Coffelt Funeral Home is caring for the family.
