Lily Marie Swenson Marley, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 16, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Lily was born on January 9, 1921 in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Carl Swenson and Rhoda Swenson. Before entering elementary school, she lived on Grouse Creek. Lily attended schools in Sandpoint and graduated from Sandpoint High School. On January 17, 1941, Lily married the love of her life, Harold Marley in Sandpoint. She dedicated her life to Harold, her children and grandchildren. She worked with Harold in the IGA wrapping meat, stocking freight, bookkeeping, payroll and anything else that needed to be done. Lily’s hobbies included cooking, gardening, quilting and crocheting. Lily is fondly remembered for her sweet little giggle, her kind heart, her wonderful cooking and lovely home. She loved The Lord with all of her heart, mind and strength and her neighbor as herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Nancy (Dave) Saasen of Tacoma; Janet (Bud) Heth of Spokane, WA; grandchildren Coulette (Dennis) Kuespert of Spokane, WA; Mollie Bloom of Sandpoint; Janell (Rod) Chinery of Woodinville, WA; Monty Saasen of Renton, WA; Ryan Heth of Spokane, WA; Rachel (James) Shipley of Monroe, WA; great grandchildren Denny (Melody) Kuespert of Spokane, WA; Andrew (Rebecca) Kuespert of Phoenix, AZ; Nicholas (Megan) Kuespert of Spokane, WA; Jonathan Shipley, Noah Shipley and David Shipley all from Monroe, WA; and 11 great-great grandchildren. Lily is preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother Dora Swenson; husband, Harold Marley; her daughter, Carol Bloom; and her son-in-law Ralph Bloom. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 29th, 2017 at Coffelt’s Moon Chapel, Pine and Division Streets in Sandpoint, Idaho.
