Lisa Ann Book

Lisa Ann Book, 56, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Life Care Center in Sandpoint, Idaho surrounded by her family and friends.   She is survived by her husband Brian Book; daughters Amy Warner and Heather Book and her son Christopher Book; brothers Rod Dorland, Gary Dorland; sisters Sandra Tate and Cindy Dorland; son-in-law Neal Warner; grandsons Dakota and Joseph; in-laws Ron Book, Lori Weiler, David and Todd Book along with many nieces and nephews.   She was born in Los Gatos, California on July 18, 1961 to Derward and Betty Ponder, she moved to Oklahoma City in 1974.  She graduated from Yukon High School in 1979.  She enlisted in the US Navy in 1981 serving on the USS Samuel Gompers as a Yeoman for three years when she got out for an administrative discharge after receiving sole custody of her daughter Amy Rothove.  She moved back to Oklahoma City for six months then moved to San Diego, California.   Lisa and Brian got married in San Diego, California on December 11, 1985 and were married for 31 years, 11 months and 27 days.  Heather was born in San Diego on September 16, 1986 Christopher was born at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint on July 26, 1991.   Lisa and family moved to Sandpoint in 1987 after Brian was discharged from the US Navy.  Lisa worked at Harold’s IGA, for the State of Idaho as a home healthcare provider for five years, BGH for 13 years as a housekeeper, maintenance supervisor and nuclear medicine assistant, she worked at Life Care Center for almost three years in housekeeping, as a CNA and finally scheduling coordinator.   She touched many people lives over the years in her social activities and healthcare career.  Many people for the better, some maybe not so much.  You always knew where you stood with Lisa.   You will be missed!!!   A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church 1900 Pine St, Sandpoint, Idaho
