Lloyd Thomas Graham, 94, passed away on 17 February 2025, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sandpoint. Friends who wish to attend the viewing may do so from 10:00 to 10:30am.
Lloyd was born on 13 December 1930, in Chillicothe, Ross, Ohio, to Lester Graham and Helen Marie Wright. Lloyd had four brothers:Lewis, Leonard, Leon, and Lawrence and one sister, Dorris.
When he was 18, he joined the Marines and served over 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. While stationed in Formosa at the American Embassy, he married his first wife, Betty with her daughter, Loretta. They had two more daughters: Esther and Eva.
After Lloyd retired from the military, he partnered with his brother Lawrence in a car dealership in Colorado. On April 16, 1972, he married his second wife, Tywlah with her four children: Gregg, Russell,Kurt, and Christine Kopsa. They moved to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1975and built a cabin from the trees on their 20 acres. Lloyd was a bailiff and deputy sheriff in Sandpoint.
On January 6, 2025, he married his third wife, Joyce. He enjoyed introducing them as newlyweds and called her Joy, which is descriptive of their brief six weeks together.
Lloyd was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.He ranked in the top percentage of genealogy indexing and served inthe Spokane Temple. He loved chauffeuring the missionaries and arm wrestling.
Lloyd has always been an inventor of practical solutions with his analytical mind. He wrote several poems and made up his own words to certain songs. He enjoyed fishing and playing games, especially“Lloyd Wins”. He always had hard candies, chocolate bars, or soda for adults and children alike.
