Lois Elaine Steen

Lois was born on July 29, 1939 to Albertha and Fenley Cook Jr in Naples, Idaho.  Lois passed away passed away peacefully in her home in Sandpoint, Idaho on May 29, 2020 at the age of 80 years old.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00am, Saturday, June 17, 2023 in thre McArthur Cemetery off Highway 95.  A potluck will follow at the home of Scott Steen, 2611 Selkirk Road.  Please join  the family, to show your support

Lois was a true local, she was born in Naples where she grew up and met her first husband Jimmie Jensen.  Lois and Jim started their family in Elmira, Idaho, they had three children together; Susan (Ira) Owens, Robert Jensen and Thomas (Becky) Jensen.  Lois and Jim later purchased a home and moved their family to Sandpoint.  Sadly Jim passed away leaving behind Lois and their three children.

Lois later met her second husband Alvin Steen and added two more children to the family; Scott Steen and Kim (Rich) Calvart.

Lois had many joys in her life she enjoyed family and friends, get togethers, yard sales, embroidery, ceramics, reading, bingo, huckleberry picking and much more.  Lois worked at lightning Lube for her friends Gene and Gloria Holt for many years which she really enjoyed.  Her co-workers along with the regulars that came in were like family to her and she thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them all. 

Lois leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and friends.  She will be missed but not forgotten.
