Louis E, Macumber, Jr., 82, passed away on Sunday, January 20th in Sandpoint.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 30th, at 11am in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Pastor Barry Johnson will be officiating.
Louis was born on February 23, 1936 in Chadron, Nebraska, the son of Louis and Lola Macumber. The family moved to the Cabinet area of North Idaho. He graduated from the 8th grade at the old Cabinet School and from Clark Fork High School in 1956. He married Belle Cramer, in Coeur d’Alene on April 5, 1976 and she preceded him in death in 2004.
He followed construction, as an operating engineer, and had worked on the construction of the Libby Dam in Libby, Montana. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends.
Louis is survived by his brother Bill Macumber, of Sagle; two sisters Corabell Trott of Chewelah, WA; and Gloria Wood of Otis Orchards, WA; as well as six nieces and three nephews. Other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Belle, and two nephews Billy and Jimmy Macumber.
