Marc Richard Michelson

Marc Michelson was born on January 25th, 1972, in Spokane, WA to Don and Colleen (Winship) Michelson. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in March of 2021. He fought the toughest battle of his life, and ultimately lost his battle on April 10, 2022, with family by his side. Marc attended Skyview Elementary, East Valley Middle School and graduated from East Valley High School in 1990. While attending East Valley, he played varsity football, wrestling, soccer, and track and field. Marc enjoyed many things in life, but his passions were his family and fishing. You could always catch Marc in the middle of the lake trying to catch the big one, which on many occasions, he did just that. Marc was a man of integrity and would always stop what he was doing to help his family and friends. Marc had a smile and laugh that could light up the room. Marc met Dawn Cousins in November of 2003 and shared four daughters together: Jordynn, Amber, Cameryn, and Payten. They spent 8 years in Ritzville, WA where he was employed with the local cable company and then, with the conservation district. In 2011, they moved to Sandpoint, Idaho where Marc worked for (WOW) Wired or wireless internet. Anybody who ever met Marc ultimately ended up becoming a friend because he was such a genuine guy. Marc will be greatly missed by family and friends. Rest easy; Dad, Brother, son, husband, and friend. We love you to the moon and back! We know you’re up in heaven catching some northern pike and watching out for us. 

Marc was preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Michelson.  Marc is survived by his wife of 18 years Dawn, father Don Michelson of Spokane, WA,  four daughters: Jordynn (Garret Crouse) Michelson of Spokane, WA, Amber Hilzer, Cameryn Michelson, and Payten Michelson of Sandpoint, ID, one granddaughter Rylee Crouse of Spokane, WA, his sister Marci (Rod) Koshowski of Canada, brother-in-law Clay (Kim) Cousins of Spokane Valley, WA, father-in-law Ron Cousins of Sandpoint, ID  and mother-in-law Patti Cousins of Ritzville, WA, and so many other loving family members.  

There will be a celebration of life in June 2022 that will be announced on Marc’s gofundme page, https://gofund.me/ac8e4eae The gofundme page has been set up to help with medical expenses acquired during Marc’s battle with Leukemia and help with his children’s college education
