Norman (Bob) R. Brown

March 2, 1934 — August 29, 2019

Norman (Bob) R. Brown passed away peacefully at his home on August 29, 2019 at the age of 85.

 

Bob was born on March 2, 1934 to Richard and Hilda Brown.  He attended grade school in Kootenai and later graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1952.  Bob worked at several jobs in the area before working and later retiring from Union Pacific Railroad in 1997.  He spent his spare time playing music, exchanging silly stories and playing jokes on his family.  He enjoyed fishing, exchanging fishing stories and his beloved pets who would regularly talked him out of a piece of toast or two, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren.

 

He is survived by the love of his life and best friend for 63 years Joann.  He is also survived by his son Mike (Carol) Brown of Samuels, Peggy Brown Maniscalco of Sagle, Rick (Kellie) Brown of Kootenai, Jim Brown of Kootenai and Tom (Raquel) Brown of Kootenai.  As well as his extended family Wanda (Bruce) McArthur of Enumclaw, WA.  He is also survived by a sister in law Pat Brown and sisters Carol Mitton and Cathy Conway and a sister and brother in law Rose and Tony Adams of New York.  He has 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

Bob is preceded in death by both parents, a brother Richard Brown and brothers in las Wes Mitton and Chuck Conway.

 

There will be a celebration of life to honor our Dad on September 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm,  at the home of Tom and Raquel at 407 W 1st Ave in Kookenai.

 

All family and friends are invited to join us for this special memorial and spend some time sharing some of Dad’s favorite jokes and stories.
