Peggy Irene Reese 76, passed away on April 25, 2020 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Peggy was born on Sept. 14, 1943 in Murray, Utah to Van Heaps and Edith Heaps (Palmer).
Peggy loved teaching her Sunday school kids, making her handouts, crocheting, talking with her friends and seeing her family. The impact she had on so many lives is apparent today from the stories so many share of her.
Peggy found the catch of her life in Murray, UT, Ronald Reese. After a short courtship they got married on December 10, 1966. In 1968 they moved to Hailey, Idaho where they welcomed their daughter, Ronie Renae in 1971. Peggy hated the Sun Valley area so much she was still talking about it just a couple of weeks ago. In 1972 they moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. Ron and Peggy welcomed their only son, Don Reese.
During the 47 years in the Sandpoint area, Peggy worked for Century 21 and a couple of doctor offices as an admin. Peggy taught Sunday school at the LDS Church for many, many years. She was brought in as the big gun to try and bring order to the class that her son attended. She would tell you to settle down and pay attention or she would put on her bright red lipstick and kiss you on the cheek. She brought order to her class very quickly and everyone remembers her bright smile, warm laugh, big dangling earrings and all of the homemade handouts she made for each of her classes over the years.
Peggy loved her family and any reason to have them all together. Every holiday was a big event to her. Christmas is not going to be the same in the Reese household but her traditions will carry on.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Ron, both her parents, Sister Gail and her sister in law Holly Reese.
Peggy is survived by her sister Anna Mae (Boyd) Tippetts, brothers Rodney (Cheryl) Heaps, Duane Heaps and Neil Heaps. Her brother-in-law Rodney "Pepper" Reese, Daughter Ronie Sennett and step daughter LeAnn Wadsworth, Son Don (Tamara) Reese, grandchildren, Sierra, Bryce & Lillee Sennett. Nathan, Gabrielle, & Noah Reese, three bonus grandchildren Joey, Kevin and Jordan Porto. Three great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Pack River Cemetery. People are welcome to come to the grave side during this time, remember Peggy and share your stories.
