Robert "Big Bob" Leroy Avery

Robert “Big Bob” Avery died tragically while using a grader to plow snow Thursday, January 6th at the age of 69.  Bob was born December 8, 1952 to Norma (Glidden) and Leroy in Kalamazoo, MI where he and his brother Ken grew up.  He moved to Sandpoint, ID in 1979 and married Joan (Leichtman) September 8th, 1979.

Throughout his life he worked in tree planting, construction, logging and then started Big Bob’s Landscaping.  He loved fishing, skiing, camping, and most of all going for long adventures on his BMW Motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, Children, Luke and Sara (Eric), Grandchildren, Aden and Danika, Brother, Ken (Deb). He was preceded in death by his parents Norma and Roy.

A memorial service will be held at the Sandpoint Seventh-Day Adventist Church, at 11 am, Sunday, January, 16th 2022.
