Robert “Bob” Anthony Parenti, 83, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Monday, December 4, 2017 at Living Water Lutheran Church in Clark Fork, Idaho with Pastor Nick Larsen officiating. A reception will be held directly after the service at the Clark Fork Senior Center and everyone is welcome. Bob was born on August 24, 1934 in San Francisco, California, the son of Cladinoro and Stephanie Parenti. He attended local schools in San Francisco and Burlingame, graduating in 1951. He enlisted into the National Guard and then transferred to the United States Air Force. He served for five years including active deployment during the Korean War. After the military, he worked for Converse Rubber Company. He began his career as a union employee in the warehouse; he later retired from Duracell Batteries as Warehouse Manager. After retirement in 1989, he moved to Clark Fork where he has resided ever since. Bob was president of a motorcycle club, and a sports car enthusiast. He loved reading and was a “walking encyclopedia” when it came to the various wars of the United States. He also enjoyed guns, hunting, exploring the wilderness of North Idaho on his ATV, and had a heart for all animals, especially his many dogs and horses. Bob loved the Lord and was always an active member of the churches he attended. He helped start Living Water Lutheran Church in Clark Fork 9 years ago. Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beth Parenti, and his brother, Ken Parenti, of San Jose, California. His parents and his daughter Nori Fuller preceded him in death.
