Doug was loving, caring, courteous, gracious and thoughtful. He spend years rock climbing with his father and was so proficient that he followed last on the climb up to help and stragglers and first on the climb down to lead the way.
He was married to Cindy for almost 35 years. She died of breast cancer which in now curable. They raised four kids to be responsible and loving adults; Tracey, Stacey, Christian and Heather. Two years after his wife death, their son died in an automobile accident. His grief was almost unbearable from losing a loving wife and endeared son.
Their girls live close by in or near Coeur d’ Alene, ID, and are healthy and successful in their endeavors. He was very proud of them.
Doug married Sindy on October 15, 2017 and it was another good marriage. He brother George (only sibling) joking said he married a woman with the same name so wouldn’t have to remember a new one.
On April 1 he went to bed at 11 pm and when the alarm went off he did not wake. EMTs arrived and about 20 minutes after working to bring him back to life, they pronounced him dead.
