Dear friends, It is with great sadness that Stephen passed away peacefully this afternoon. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020. We continued to lead a full life until 2 years ago, at which time his symptoms became more prevelant, primarily speech and balance. In spite of his physical struggles his mind remained sharp as a tack. He has lived outside of his comfort zone because of my "life's interests" since the day we became united as one and continued to do so until a week before his passing. He put pride aside, embraced life fully even when help was required, difficult for all independent souls, traveled, shared quality meals at favorite restaurants both at home and abroad, and nature. To think that we hand in hand stepped onto Antarctica less than a month ago, what courage and humility that took on his part. I am so blessed to have had nearly 18 years of being enveloped in a deep love that I didn't know existed until we became one. As I committed to him, me and the pups will get by through many shed tears difficult as it may be. He's fully at peace now and I am so thankful that I was at his side during this very difficult journey. Lovingly, Renee'
