Robert Marcus Lynch

October 20, 1929 — September 8, 2018

Robert Marcus Lynch Jr. (Cowboy Bob) 88,

The wonderful visit of miniature horse Jelly Bean on Friday September 5, gave Cowboy Bob his last wish and he went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 6, 2018.  He was the 2nd boy to be born in Youngstown Ohio hospital on October 20, 1929.  As a young boy, his family moved to Poland Ohio and he acquired his first horse, PeeWee.  He would ride his horse to school, dismount and the horse would then return home to the barn for breakfast.

Bob enrolled at Ohio State University where he became a diehard Buckeye.  After two years he enlisted in the Air Force and became a Buck Sergeant during the Korean War.  He was a tail gunner on a B36 bomber and one day his aircraft was loaded with a massive bomb and headed for North Korea.  It developed engine trouble and landed on a northern Japanese island for repairs.  A truce was declared.  Thank the Lord!!!!  He later advanced a career in manufacturing soft drink dispensers and moved to southern California where he formed a partnership in Concession Service.  He was a FANTASTIC salesman and eventually secured many chain restaurants, all Taco Bell business, then Disneyland and eventually Disneyworld.  He retired 4 times and each time started a new successful career.

In 1993 he and his wife Maribeth, purchased his dream!!!  A 99 acre cattle ranch in Priest River, ID, where he lived his dream for 22 years. The ranch was sold in 2015 and they became residents of Sandpoint.

Bob has 1 daughter, Laurie Beth Kashawi and three sons, Robert Marcus Lynch III, John Timothy, and Matthew Allen, Step sons Ted Hart, Tim Hart and one step daughter Kathryn Grissinger, and 16 Grandchildren.

His wonderful laugh and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew him, but his loving spirit remains forever.

A celebration of life with Pastor Steve Bradshaw officiating will take place on October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at Coffelt Funeral Chapel.
