On Friday May 7, 2021 Sandra Kay (Moore) Warlow , a beloved mother, wife, sister and friend sadly and suddenly passed away on a flight over the ocean from her beloved big island, Hawaii to her other beloved Hope, Idaho into God’s hands.
Sandy was born on April 1st, 1949 at St. Joseph hospital in Centerville, Iowa. She attended junior high and high school in Urbandale, Iowa. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State College.
Sandy met Henry Warlow at Alpine Meadows ski area of Lake Tahoe, California in 1979. Quickly falling in love they started exploring the northwest and Canada for a beautiful place to live. At a wedding of a mutual best friend in Bozeman Montana they discovered Lake Pend Oreille. After driving around the entirety of lake Pend Oreille they discovered Hope, Idaho where they both fell in love with the prettiest place ever. Sandy lived with her husband Henry and daughter Sasha in Hope for 40 years. Sandy quickly became one of the most knowledgeable fishing legends on the lake. She enjoyed many times fishing even in the cold winter.
As many of you know the Lake Pend Oreille area is not the easiest place to make a living. However, with Sandy’s vibrant and outgoing personality along with her people skills she always had a job. From Trestle Creek restaurant to Schweitzer Mountain Resort and everywhere in between Sandy always had a job that she excelled in. In 2009 Sandy discovered the Big Island of Hawaii where her daughter Sasha works as a registered vascular interventional cath lab technologist. She eventually retired after 30 years and moved 8 months out of the year to the Big Island of Hawaii, Kona side in 2014 with her beloved husband.
Sandy loved living by Keahou Bay where she fell in love with the Keahou canoe club and paddling. She paddled every week about 5x a week. Sandy was also an adamant beach goer, cook, dancer, walker, and everything Hawaiian. She loved the culture and tried to absorb every smell, sight and taste of Hawaii.
Sandy’s radiant personality, and warm and caring heart followed her wherever she went. She was loved by all she met. Sandy was always able to start a conversation with anyone where ever she was. Sandy is remembered by her daughter as being the best mother ever. Always loving, laughing, enjoying private moments together, traveling and being “pocket sisters” and best friends.
Her loving husband Henry is devastated, but knows that Sandy would want him to be close to Sasha and her family in Hawaii. Eventually that’s where he will reside. Sandy is survived by her husband Henry Warlow, daughter Sasha Warlow (RJ Williamson, fiancé), sister Michelle Faller( Tim Faller), numerous nieces and nephews and many many friends.
Gone but not forgotten. Forever loved!!
