Sharon Joy Palkki, 83, of Sagle, Idaho passed away on February 9th, 2024.
Sharon was born on September 13th, 1940, to Pell and Thelma Koski in Fort Bragg, California.
She married her high school sweetheart August 24th, 1958, at age 17. Together they had 6 children (5 sons and 1 daughter). Sharon later earned her General Education Degree then went on to earn a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg, CA. She worked for several years at Glass Beach Preschool and Childcare Center in Fort Bragg before retiring.
Sharon loved her family and would sacrifice much for their well-being. She was strong in her faith and always made her belief and commitment to God a priority. She and her husband spent much of their life together serving their Lord in several different churches in various capacities. Sharon’s joy was working with children in many of these churches serving as a volunteer in the Christian school, working in Awana clubs, teaching in Vacation Bible Schools and Sunday school, and working in after school Bible clubs.
Sharon is predeceased by her loving husband, Eugene Palkki (2009), son, John Edward Palkki (1964), and her Parents Pell (2007) and Thelma Koski (2004) and sister, Caroline Koski (2011).
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Palkki of Sandpoint, and former spouse Marianne, of Coeur d ‘Alene, Idaho; Richard Palkki and wife, Rose, of Riesel, Texas; Robert Palkki and wife Lisa of Sandpoint, Idaho; Kenneth Palkki and former spouse Musie, of Sonora, California; her daughter, Lynette Favor and husband, Jerry, of Sagle, Idaho. She is also survived by her twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, her sisters, Kathryn Lynch, and Virginia Clause both of Fort Bragg, California, and her nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on March 3rd, 2024, 4:00 p.m. at Victory church, 602 Gun Club Road, Sagle, Idaho.
