Wesley “Wes” Leonard Felland Jr., 81, passed away on July 24, 2021 we lost a wonderful, kind, loving, funny, soft-spoken man. A husband, father and friend that will be missed forever.
Wesley was born on December 7, 1939 in Watford City, North Dakota to Wesley l and Bernita Felland.
He is survived by his wife Judy; his three daughters Debbie Felland, Brenda Felland and Chris Felland; also, grandchildren Bridgette Kucherry, T.J. Kucherry and Mike Celacich and three great grandchildren Madisyn, Maci and Ryker.
Wes inherited a whole other family when he married Judy 30 years ago. Her kids Ben and Dawn Rice and Rusty and Shelly Rice as well as grandchildren Heather, Aaron, Rebecca and ReAnna and four more great grandchildren. Also, surviving Wes is his sister Diane and Gary Ronholdt of Colorado.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother and his sister Patricia Holter.
Wes went to school in Watford City, North Dakota graduated and went directly into the grocery and meat cutting business. He ran several meat departments in North Dakota, Montana and Alaska before finally settling in Sandpoint. He ran meat departments for both Joe Rogers and Les Rogers and late Rosauers stores. Before he retired, he worked some years at his favorite job with Draper Valley Farms as a northwest chicken salesman. Enjoying all the perks of taking groups on ocean fishing trips in Alaska and Mexico, and driving all over Idaho, Montana and Washington.
Upon retirement Wes and Judy got to enjoy some sinters in Arizona and did some traveling and fishing and checking out the mountains and generally enjoyed life at home playing pinnacle with friends and four-wheeling on Baldy Mountain are favorite memories. Anytime he spent with his family was a good time. He loved them all dearly just as we all loved him.
At Wes’ request he will be cremated and there will be no services. Instead spend time with a home bound friend or relative.
